Majlis discusses Omanisation of heavy truck/equipment profession

Majlis Al Shura office yesterday held its eigth regular meeting of the first annual sitting (2007/2008) of the sixth term under the chairmanship of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Isa’ee, chairman of the Majlis, in the presence of Dr Juma bin Ali bin Juma, minister of manpower, members of the office and chairmen of the permanent committees.

The meeting discussed the Omanisation in the private sector, Omanising heavy truck and equipment profession in the Sultanate.

The Majlis highlighted the importance of implementing plans on sectoral programmes, which are based on the recommendations approved by the national manpower employment seminars that were held under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

The office also approved the minutes of its previous meeting and reviewed the follow up table on the implementation of such decisions. The office also reviewed a number of correspondences and invitations received from regional and international organisations.

Sheikh Isa’ee yesterday also issued a decision naming the representatives at the Arab Interim Parliament for the period from February 1 to December 2009. The representatives are Nasser bin Hilal Al Ma’awali, deputy chairman of Majlis Al Shura and Nasser bin Malik Al Batashi, member of Majlis.
